John works one-on-one with leaders and aspiring leaders to help them close performance gaps and develop skills and approaches needed for future success.

John’s mentor as a coach was psychologist, consultant, and instructor, Gerrie Waugh, a name revered across the province for her work at Capilano University and the MATI program. Throughout his 31-year career in local government and now in his encore-career, John has coached and mentored dozens of managers and aspiring managers. John works with employees to identify performance issue(s), the causes of the issues, potential solutions, and helps create specific action plans. Often the Insights Discovery assessment tool is used to help understand their own behaviour and recognize the tendencies and preferences of others.
